What is dandruff, to be more precise? The white flakes represent the dead skin cells of the scalp and both men and women deal with this situation so often. There are many factors that influence the apparition of this pesky hair problem. Stress, dry or oily skin, a bad choice of shampoo, a sensitive skin and others can cause this phenomenon to occur. It took me so long to get rid of dandruff. I have tried a lot of shampoos and nothing seemed to work. I am also an old fashioned girl so I decided to give some herbal remedies a chance. What was there to lose? Using natural ingredients couldn’t cause me any harm so I thought I’d give it a go to see if there are any improvements, because honestly I had enough of dandruff.
Say Goodbye to Dandruff
1, Try Giving Lemons a Chance – Lemons are probably by far the most efficient cure for dandruff. You just need two or three tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemons and four or five spoons of vinegar. You mix these two together and you can clean your scalp with the concoction. Spend some time when choosing this homemade recipe. Massage your scalp with circular movements and let the mixture sit for 40 minutes or so. Gently rinse your hair afterwards. If you don’t have the patience or time to try the above mentioned treatment you can always cut a lemon in two halves and gently rub it on your scalp. Let the lemon juice sit for some minutes then use your favorite shampoo to wash your hair.
2. Apple Cider Vinegar is also a Viable Option – The same goes for apple cider vinegar. It can be used just like lemon juice. You massage your scalp with some apple cider vinegar to get rid of dandruff and to enjoy glossy, shiny hair. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
3. A Cool Hair Mask – Natural hair masks are my favorite. I mix some lemon juice with curd and then I apply it to my hair. You can let it sit for half an hour for a better absorption. I also enjoy using this cool hair mask every other day.
4. The Fastest Way to Luscious Hair – The aloe vera hair treatment is probably the fastest alternative that gets you rid of dandruff. Any aloe vera gel that is massaged on to your scalp every day, for 10 minutes will get you the best results.
